Xranky exists because good SEO tooling shouldn't sit behind a paywall or a sign-up form. Paste any public URL and we run a genuine audit — the same page a visitor would load, measured the way a browser actually sees it.
How the crawl works
Every scan launches a real headless Chrome browser on our server. It navigates to your URL, waits for the network to settle, and then runs ten independent audit modules against the live DOM and network activity: meta tags, headings, content, images, links, performance (real Core Web Vitals via the Chrome DevTools Protocol), mobile emulation with a screenshot, security headers, structured data, and crawlability.
Each module returns real findings — what passed, what to watch, and what to fix — and a 0–100 score. Those are combined with SEO-informed weights into an overall score and an A+ to F grade. Nothing is mocked, cached, or estimated.
Why it's free
There are no accounts, no paid tiers, and no scan limits. The tool is simple to run and cheap to host, and keeping it open makes the web a little better. If it helps you, share a report link or star the project.
Privacy
We store each report so it stays available at its link. We never store raw IP addresses and there are no user accounts. Internal, localhost, and private-network addresses are blocked from scanning for security.
